The governor of Jalisco, Pablo Lemus, presided over the inauguration of the 18th edition of the Livestock Expo in Ciudad Guzmán, which will run until Friday, May 9, 2025. This event aims to showcase new trends for the field with technologies and solutions that can boost agriculture in the region, and it involves the participation of the Secretariat of Agriculture and Rural Development (Sader Jalisco).
"It's always a pleasure to return to different places in Jalisco to fulfill the commitments we made to the people, and this Wednesday, in Ciudad Guzmán, I had the honor of attending the inauguration of the 18th edition of the Agricultural Expo," the governor stated.
In this regard, Lemus emphasized that one of the areas where Jalisco can grow the most is in the agro-industrial sector, as long as producers and state authorities work in coordination. He highlighted the importance of continuing to generate support and financing programs for this sector through the Financing Promoter for the Development of Jalisco (Projal) in products like avocado and berries, which are essential to the economy of Zapotlán El Grande and the entire south of the state.
Additionally, the governor announced support for the Livestock Expo through the potential creation of a new convention center, considered the most important in the western region. "With the producers of this region, we are also considering the creation of a convention center to strengthen this expo, which is deemed the most important in the West, and other projects with which we will integrate technology and innovation into the agricultural production chain, to facilitate access to suppliers of services and cutting-edge solutions," added Lemus.
